A medium-sized Canadian company, known as Company X, has adopted a developmental learning approach to strategic planning, which could well serve as a model for other companies. Reporting managers and their executives are excited and satisfied by this new approach, and the company's President is pleased that advantages have materialized. These include a sense of control of what is happening, greater clarity, attention to priorities and greater efficiency.
