Sunshine, blue sky: a swelling population and a can-do government help Queenland boom

Queensland, the Sunshine State of Australia, has turned in a dazzling economic performance with its growth outstripping all other states by a wide margin despite innumerable hurdles. Data from IBISWorld shows that Queensland's economy grew by 5.4% in 2001-02 recording a gross state product (GSP) of $118.2 billion, due to migration from other states fuelling the property boom for an affordable life.
