T.D. Waterhouse cuts into the discount market

T.D. Waterhouse will be one of the largest discount stock brokers in the world when it launches in November, 1999. The Australian operations, T.D. Waterhouse Australia, plans to be the lowest priced broker service in the industry. A key to the plan is the implementation of online broking, which executives expect will exceed 70% of the company's volume within a year.
