Garry Yost heads Australia Power Industries Pty Ltd (API), which he describes as the country's largest fiber-optic cabling company. API's turnover for fiscal 1997 totaled A$16.5 million, with A$24 million forecast for 1998. Biographical information on Yost is included. He grew up in Tasmania and has traveled widely. He abandoned his South African fortune in 1994 and bought into API.
