Technological interweavement: a means of achieving innovation success
Article Abstract:
Results of an empirical study covering 848 manufacturers based in the Lake Constance region are presented. It is shown through multivariate analyses that a firm's technological innovation success, which also determines commercial innovation success, depends greatly on the mobilization of external resources and knowledge. The establishment of close contacts with customers, relations with universities and research institutes and joint research ventures with other companies are identified as crucial in achieving innovation success.
