The Telstra board would make some of the biggest decisions in the telecommunications giant's 102-year history, which includes whether to renew the contract of chief executive Ziggy Switkowski, rationalise its Asian mobile phone business. The decision would be shaped by its majority shareholder, the Federal Government, which is desperate to get the share price upto $5 so that it can get the Telstra sale back on the agenda.
