Robert Maple-Brown chairman of Maple-brown Abbott was ranked first by Mercer Investment Consulting on pooled superannuation fund return. He has a remarkably consistent record of above average performance in the management of its balanced investment portfolio. Some of his achievements are discussed.

BT's winning gamble

BT's active balanced pooled superannuation trust is the top performing fund with a return of 15.2 percent for the 12 months to January 31. BT has reduced its allocation to Australian equities from 40 to 38 percent and increased its long term holding in listed property trusts from 4 to 5 percent.
