November 2003 statistics show that Australian interest rates are rising to steady the property boom, but small- business owners face a major risk, especially those who have secured borrowings with their homes. The debt binge is over as the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) might soon lift interest rates, bringing the small businesses under scrutiny and assisting them to safeguard against insolvency problems.
