The free - trade election
Article Abstract:
The Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme could cost $1.5 billion dollar more for Australia, if the Free Trade Agreement with the United States is signed. In the election year this has become an issue that may decide the fate of the parties, based on the stand they take (whether to reject or to accept the agreement).

Though the participation rate of workforce has increased to 63.5 %, it is below 55% among the 55 - 64 age group. The rising unemployment scenario in Victoria is also discussed.
