The influence of current firm performance on future SME alliance formation intentions: A six-country study
Article Abstract:
Current performance levels of small- or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from six countries were studied to understand how and why they would influence firms to enter into alliances with them rather than operate independently. It was observed that performance dissatisfaction is an important variable that affects the alliance forming intentions of managers in SMEs with previous alliance experience.
