The operations management role in hospital strategic planning
Article Abstract:
There is a scarcity of studies that attempt to determine the role of operations management in the strategic planning of hospitals. Given that hospital administrators are presently being pressured to enhance the quality of their services and to minimize costs, an integrative research that focuses on the interaction between operations management and strategic planning is needed. Recommendations for future research and application based on a review of literature are provided.
