The role of social-desirability response bias in turnover research
Article Abstract:
A survey of 826 Canadian chartered accountants was employed to determine the effect of social desirability bias, that is the tendency to identify only those traits within oneself that are socially desirable, and the reporting of the intention to leave one's job. The study indicated that a link existed between social-desirability bias and the tendency to overreport job satisfaction and undereport new job seeking intentions. However, no correlation with the reported intention to leave one's job could be found.

Correcting turnover statistics for comparative analysis
Article Abstract:
Variability in turnover base rates may bias the results of comparative analyses in research on turnover. This article illustrates statistical corrections to turnover correlations based on range restriction formulas. Comparative analysis using corrected statistics seeks to facilitate the process of unbiased comparative inference. (Reprinted by permission of the publisher.)

Interactions among Actual Ease-of-Movement Determinants and Job Satisfaction in the Prediction of Voluntary Turnover
Article Abstract:
An employee's ease-of-movement in the job market or voluntary turnover, were thought to be determined by either job availability, or, individual attributes. This paper suggests that factors of education, cognitive ability, and occupational training have a moderating effect on job satisfaction and the unemployment rate.
