The second annual software shoot-out in Raleigh
Article Abstract:
The Raleigh Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants conducted the Second Annual Accounting Shoot-Out in Oct. 1995 in Raleigh, NC, to identify the financial software packages that accountants and controllers can enjoy using. During the event, attendees rated accounting software systems based on their accounting capabilities, system-wide features, and maintenance plans. The three packages that were evaluated at the shoot-out were Dynamics LAN, Macola Progression Series and M.A.S. 90 Evolution/2. The judges in the audience rated Dynamics LAN as the best among the three. Given that this software has already been adjudged PC Magazine's Editor's Choice for Windows-based, multiuser accounting systems, it is not surprising it won in the shoot-out.
