To a pile of CEO perks, add the 'special' bonus
Article Abstract:
CEO salaries, bonuses and now added 'special' bonuses, or special 'awards' keep on rising even when sales and profits drop. The 'special' bonuses have increased from 2% to 9% of companies giving them out in 1998. Companies give various reasons for awarding the sums, such as a 'thank you' or 'special recognition' or just incentive to stay with a company or to take an active role in a transition.
