Article Abstract:
Aggressive litigation against the tobacco industry has increased in the US and, with lower shipments, this is having a negative effect. Article Abstract:
A good litigation record in the year 2001 has allowed tobacco industry stocks to remain high in spite of lower tobacco consumption. Other legal developments are good for the industry and China may become a new market for cigarettes. These stocks are not suited for long-term investors in spite of their current good prices.
