U.S. marines capture arms depot

US marines participating in Operation Restore Hope raided an arms depot on Jan 7, 1993, that belonged to Mohammed Farah Aidid. The Mogadishu depot was one of several camps where Aidid's militia had agreed to store their arms after the arrival of the marines.

Cease-fire takes hold
