Trade surplus reaches $9.97 billion

Japan's Jun 1993, merchandise trade surplus was $9.97 billion, an increase of 11.3% over the previous June. Total exports for Jun 1993, were $30.48 billion. Japan's trade surplus with the US rose by 6.7% to reach $3.35 billion, but its surplus with the European Community fell by 26%.

Japan's trade surplus with other countries increased from $5.06 billion in Feb 1991 to $10.23 billion in Feb 1992. Japan's surplus with the US increased from $2.85 billion in 1991 to $3.68 billion in 1992.
