Unisys Corp. plans to introduce, imminently, a new generation of its ClearPath mainframe computers. Despite the company's growing reliance on being a service provider, the success of these new products is viewed as pivotal to the compny's health. The company is planning to offer two high-end mainframes that are touted to double the performance of existing models. It will also introduce a low-end model that operates on an Intel microprocessor, and will compete with current personal computer servers.
