Banc Software Inc. (BSI) is a financial software developer and acts as a clearinghouse for user-developed systems and enhancements. It also provides disaster recovery support. BSI offers two types of facilities for disaster recovery; a fixed location hot site and a mobile facility. Both facilities house a Criterion mainframe, various types of disk and tape drives, a 647 printer, and a MICR sorter. The hot site facility can be set up within four hours of notification while the mobile unit can reach most locations within twenty-four hours. BSI has also expanded into the bank data processing market.

The company's Automatic Source COBOL Interactive Generator (ASCIGEN) can be converted to any computer that runs COBOL within thirty days. The package allows entire systems to be developed by answering English questions with English answers. ASCIGEN-generated programs, including data entry, edit, update, inquiry, selection, sort, and print programs, can be run as is or modified with specialized code. The package operates on all NCR IRX-VRX-based systems.
