Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc., one of the leading suppliers of diagnostic imaging systems in the US, faced two major brand related problems back in the 1990s. The company experienced flat growth while the market was expanding and was gaining customers because of its leading technology, but was losing many customers at the same time. How Toshiba got back on its feet and built its American brand is discussed.
