Death insurance benefits for Australia's casual workers are under dispute due to Federal Court decisions removing the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal's enforcement powers. The ruling resulted from a dispute over a widower's claim to his wife's benefits. Although the Tribunal ordered the benefits to be paid, the Court found the Tribunal did not have the authority to do so.
