Article Abstract:
Sales of direct selling in different countries as reported by the World Federation of Direct Selling Association are discussed. The worldwide sales rose from US $40 billion in 1989 to US $89 billion in 2004, the growth being slow due to the emergence of the internet. As for internet direst sales, they have risen to six times the level of conventional sales. For the year 2004, its sales have reached $525 billion.
