2moro and 2moro and 2moro
Article Abstract:
Telegrams encourage brevity, and words were used sparingly due to the charging system. A similar development in language has been seen with mobile phone short messaging systems (SMS). Brevity is important in Japan, since more capapcity is needed for Japanese characters, but schoolgirls have already developed an argot using compressed words. Numerals and letters are combined to form new words for English speakers, such as '2moro' for 'tomorrow'.

Second-hand noise
Article Abstract:
Mobile phones can be intrusive and affect other people who are near users, especially if they are on trains, in the theater, or in restaurants. Some establishments impose their own restrictions, such as collecting mobile phones from customers entering a restaurant. Mobile phone companies ask users to be considerate, and there is even an etiquette guide for mobile phone users. Technology is available to interfere with the ability of mobile phones to receive calls, and it can be used in locations such as churches where receiving calls is inappropriate.
