Article Abstract:
Three methods of managing relationship such as formal, documented systems, personal judgement, and meetings were detailed by explaining their usefulness. Financial suppliers and buyers used all three methods giving high priority to meetings, and manufacturing suppliers used commonly methods of personal judgement and meetings.

The evaluation criteria used in the procurement of component parts in products and services is investigated. The content and structure of the decision criteria used by business customers to assess their suppliers does not differ across an array of electronic components.

The purchase card (P-card) was launched in the 1990s as a payment instrument for small value items, which is favorable for both buyers and approved suppliers. A model for P-card users who conform to company approved supplier lists, is provided.
