A new analytical algorithm and generation of Gaussian quadrature formula for stochastic network
Article Abstract:
A novel analytical algorithm for the computation of network completion time distribution function has been developed. The algorithm, which is later simplified into simple multiple integrals via a transformation method, is true for instances where each arc exhibit a defined, independent and continuous completion time distribution function. The Gaussian quadrature formula is then generalized for the numerical solution of the derived integrals.

A new heuristic for minimal makespan in flow shops with multiple processors and no intermediate storage
Article Abstract:
The general scheduling problem in a flow shop with multiple processors (FSMP) is characterized by the processing n jobs through m stages with one more processors at each stage. The results indicate that the new heuristic performs statically better than other commonly used heuristics.
