The Colorado Party, which has controlled the country since the 1989 coup, may not win the election because of turmoil resulting from the Dec 1992 primary. The apparent winner, Luis Maria Argana, had his victory overturned. He is now urging voters to reject the party candidate, Juan Carlos Wasmosy.
