The growth in prosperity of India is discussed and analyzed. The factors like the country's trade, industrialization, industrial productivity, economic reforms and fiscal deficit are discussed in this context. What India needs to do to sustain its growth rate of 6 percent is also discussed.

A comparative study of the attitudes of India and Hong Kong towards free trade is presented, to establish that India can profitably learn a lot from Hong Kong. It is shown that a country's free trade policy is crucial to the growth of its economy.
