Azimuth Control Towers, based in UK, has unveiled a range of modular control towers suitable for local and smaller regional airports. Tower equipment may include VHF radio, remote monitoring systems, lighting control and mimic panels, integrated voice communication, PABX and AFTN equipment. These tower components are prefabricated before being shipped, and arrive on site with all core services installed, ready for assembly and commissioning before the handover to the client.

High resolution displays on the right track

Przemyslowy Instytut Telekomunikacji (PIT), based in Warsaw, Poland, has launched an approach control and landing processing and display system, or ACAL-PADS, that is developed for use at medium-sized and small-sized airports and military airfields. In addition, the Polish company has introduced its air traffic controller workstation called Tracer 500 that is developed for secondary and primary radar data processing of as many as 300 targets.

Rapid radar display for military and commercial use
Article Abstract:
Calibre UK has introduced its RSC1100 Radar Scan Converter that is developed to adapt to all types of radar unit and provides radar image conversion for commercial or military use. Controlled by an embedded 32- bit micro controller, the new radar display product can receive radar video, trigger and azimuth signals. These signals are processed by RSC1100 to produce a high-resolution radar window.
