AUSTRIA: BREAST CANCER INCIDENCE
Article Abstract:
Annually between 4,600 and 5,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in Austria. The incidence has increased 25% since 1983. In the past 15 years, the number of breast conserving surgeries has trebled.

Melanoma accounts for 3.1% of the cancer cases of women and 2.8% of those of men in Austria. The incidence of melanoma in Europe doubles every 8 years.
