AUSTRIA: PORR TO DEVELOP SITE IN FAVORITEN

In Austria, the construction company Porr AG has presented a plan for a new office, shop and flat complex in Favoriten, Vienna. The project titled Gartenstadt Laaerberg is estimated to involve an area of 100,000 sq.m and an investment of about Sch 4bn, financed by Porr. In the first phase of the project, a stretch of 200 metres of the A23 motorway will be covered with a roof that in turn will become a park. Work on this Sch 200mn investment is to start in spring 2001. Adjoining the park will be office towers with a height of 70 metres. After that 1,000 flats, a school and a shop centre are to be built. The schedule will depend on demand.

Austria: Large building project at Vienna West station

Wien-Mitte Bauprojektmanagement GmbH has presented the timetable for the building complex it is planning for the Vienna West railway station in the Austrian capital. Between late 2002 and 2006, Sch 4.2bn is to be spent on the construction of a shopping and entertainment centre as well as offices and a 5-star hotel with 340 rooms. AUSTRIA: NEW OFFICE BLOCK BY PORR

The Austrian construction company Porr is spending Sch 450mn on the construction of a 7-storey office block. The complex will have a total usable area of 16,000 sq.m. The block described as an Office Provider is to be completed in early 2002.
