AUSTRIA: NEW PLANS FOR LINZ THEATRE
Article Abstract:
The artistic director of the regional theatre in Linz, Michael Klugl, proposes the construction of a new annex for the theatre. This follows the rejection by a public poll of the plan to construct a new music theatre for Sch 1.5bn. Klugl estimates that the extension would cost no less than Sch 1bn and it could be completed in 2007. The new building that would concentrate on music theatre would accommodate 1,000 spectators.
