The Algerian fundamentalist movement has more than 500 soldiers who are said to be Afghani veterans who receive their funding from Chad, and through smuggling and the black market. They have names such as Expiation and Sin, and several have been arrested for urban guerrilla warfare.

Bank of Spain head Mariano Rubio is in hot water for his dealings with the former chairman of the Madrid Stock Exchange, Manuel de la Concha. Rubio may have given de la Concha inside bank information in exchange for inside information on his investment in Ibercorp.

Article Abstract:
Ukrainian farmers would rather sell their grain on the free market than to the state. Officials are trying to force the farmers into selling to them through harassment and export bans between provinces. The peasants are finding ways around these restrictions.
