An algorithm for systems welfare interactive goal programming modelling

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze an algorithm for interactive goal programming (GP) modelling called systems welfare interactive GP that promotes the overall welfare of the system under consideration. Technical allocative and economic efficiencies were examined. An economic efficiency index was combined with interactive GP process. Results indicated the ability of the algorithm to converge very fast because of the economic efficiency index complementing the interactive process.

Eliciting and mapping qualitative preferences to numeric rankings in group decision making

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze a novel conceptual approach to qualitative preference elicitation and aggregation. The approach was based on established decision analysis methods. It promotes the state of the art of group decision making by accommodating common limitations. Results indicated that the approach is easy to implement in stand alone microcomputers and groupware.
