Article Abstract:
Sir Denys Lasdun has earned himself a place in the history of British architecture and he continues to promote and defend his work, ideas and reputation with energy. He is part of the Modern Movement and is most well known for the National Theatre which was completed in 1976. His architecture is that of power and authority and his work of the 1950s, including the Royal College of Physicians, is within the Berthold Lubetkin tradition, with whom he once worked.
