Asian countries and central banks have increasingly been putting pressure on analysts from investment banks and brokerage firms not to present negative information. In some Asian countries, a negative report can mean loss of access to officials. One bank was dropped from the management team on a bond offering. Veiled threats of retaliation by means of tightened enforcement of local rules and regulations have also been made.

Asia ties prosperity to IT
Article Abstract:
Ilyas Khan, founder of Asian information technology (IT) company Techpacific.com, is going to remain in the IT sector despite its plummeting figures in Asia. Electronic exports figures for the country fell in June to 21.2% from the previous year, after 10.9% and 8.3% in May and April. Asia is dependent on U.S. demand for IT technology, but with the demand decreasing, it mat have bitter effects.
