Associated architects out of tune with locals over Brum recital hall
Article Abstract:
Birmingham-based Associated Architects' plans to construct a new organ recital hall next to the Midland's only Grade I-listed railway station are opposed by Birmingham Civic Trust and the Victorian Society. It is feared that the hall will detract from Hardwick's 'iconic building' and the Modernist design makes the new build incongruous with the station.
