Award for Planning Achievement 1992; London's Broadgate development wins the Silver Jubilee Cup

The Broadgate development, which incorporates Liverpool Street Station won the Royal Town Planning Institute's Silver Jubilee Cup for 1992. The development includes office space, open space and leisure facilities. Runners-up included the East Lancashire railway, Grimsby's Freshney Place, Saltburn-by-the -sea and the Chubb building in Wolverhampton.

Fragile regional planning
Article Abstract:
Regional planning is not intended to produce firm results, but to provide a starting point for discussion on development. Hampshire County Council have challenged the plan for the south-east by saying the amount of new housing allocated by the plan is too high.
