BAE profit fell 15% in 2000, hurt by one-time charges

BAE Systems PLC announced that although it is optimistic about its future, its profit for 2000 decreased 15% to GBP950 million (Euro1.49 billion) from results in 1999. The defense and aerospace company attributed this to onetime charges on old programs announced in January.
