B.C. bus strike a blow to advertisers
Article Abstract:
Translink's strike is already in its sixth week. Talks have stalled and some predict it could remain unresolved until Sep 2001. Apart from the inconvenience the strike is causing on a lot of people, it also means that advertisers are losing out on about 200,000 pairs of eyes that could be seeing their messages as they travel to and from work each day. It is also expected that national advertisers will think twice before putting their money into transit after prolonged strikes in Calgary, BC, in 2001.
