BPCL TO OPEN 600 OUTLETS FOR LUBRICANTS

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has plans to open 600 outlets in India as a part of its strategy to capture a 20 percent share of the lubricants in the country. It has already opened the first outlet, called Lubeshoppe, in New Delhi. It plans to concentrate on Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Bihar to market its products more aggressively. It plans to open 100 exclusive outlets in Kerala alone for lubricants. It has targeted total sales of 100,000 tonnes of lubricants in 1998-99. (khr)

BHVP BAGS Rs3-CRORE ORDER FROM BPCL

Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels Ltd (BHPV), a subsidiary of Bharat Yantra Nigam Ltd, has bagged an order worth Rs3 crore from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL). BHPV will be constructing six LPG and propane bullets for BPCL's bottling plants at Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu and Devagothi in Karnataka. (khr)
