Behind Japan's foreign policy
Article Abstract:
An analysis of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's domestic and foreign policies is presented. Koizumi is a rather slow starter on domestic reforms. His leanings towards US and hard stance towards China are discussed. The foreign policy proposed by Katsuya Okada, the leader of Japan's largest opposition party, the Democratic Party of Japan is also discussed.
