Bell investing in a $200M single-bill system
Article Abstract:
Bell Canada is developing a new billing system that will allow customers of more than one of its products or services to receive a single bill, with a paper or electronic option. To be built at a cost of $200 million, the system would first be used on Bell Canada's Sympatico high-speed and dial-up service. Residential customers can also avail of unified billings for wireline and wireless service before the end of 2001. Michael Sabia, vice-chairman of Bell Canada, says the unified billing will simplify the delivery of the company's core strategy of bringing connectivity together.
