Telkom offer angers bankers

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia's sale of 4.15% of its shares to Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and PT Makindo drew bitter criticism from failed bidders. Investment bankers complained that only one formal offer was presented during the placement despite a number of proposals submitted. They also claimed that the deal demanded unwritten conditions which included the placement of a major portion of the deal with an Indonesian businessman.
