Bridging the gap between clinicians and health managers
Article Abstract:
Operational research can be used to promote a harmonious relationship between clinicians and health managers. It can be integrated into the three steps that can improve the relationship namely: new discussion forums, patient information systems and communication tools. Operational research should be included in discussion forums regarding health care. Also, operational research can help master the various data essential to get information on health, health care and health care management, that are needed to be communicated.

What is the role and contribution of models to management and research in the health services? A view from Europe
Article Abstract:
The use of models proved to be highly beneficial in health services management and research. Modelling allows a more favorable analysis of the interaction and combined influence of various factors vital to decision problem. The use of models in the health area also gives an opportunity to investigate the impact of various alternatives in cases where actual experiments are unlikely.
