Montagu Private Equity will open an office in Manchester, England, in June 1995. The company has previously argued that it could service UK regions without setting up a base there. Manchester is seen as the market for venture capital which is most competitive in the UK. Venture capital investment amounted to 225 million pounds sterling in northwest England in 1994, according to an estimate from the British Venture Capital Association.

Robert Drummond gets down to life after Grosvenor Ventures

Article Abstract:

Robert Drummond has not been tempted to return to the buyout industry after leaving Grosvenor Ventures in 1993, but is willing to leave the option open if a suitable offer is made. Drummond has used his knowledge and experience to invest in small businesses and then has become involved in their operation by being admitted to the board. He has also used his expertise in finance to work as an expert witness in legal cases.
