Capacity planning under different inspection strategies
Article Abstract:
A production-inspection model has been developed for determining strategic locations of inspection stations that will minimize inspection costs and total inventory carrying. The model integrates the issues of inspection location, inspection capacity ad production capacity to provide management with information about various production processes. It has been tested in a two-stage production line with favorable results.

On the feasible set for the squared Euclidean Weber problem and applications
Article Abstract:
A sensitivity investigation of the Weber location problem with squared Euclidean distances was conducted. The problem involved looking for the best location (x,y) that minimizes the sum of weighted distances. The set of all possible optimal solutions for the squared Euclidean distance Weber problem was found when weights were limited to intervals. The set was found without any approximation.
