Japan's growing demand for manufactured goods augur well for its Asian neighbors, particularly Malaysia and Taiwan. Although many manufactured goods entering Japan are also made by Japanese companies in overseas plants, some local companies in these countries have successfully cornered huge contracts with Japanese clients. These companies include Taiwanese electronics giant Tatung Co. and Malaysian printed circuit board maker GG Circuits Industries.

Malaysia's crocodile sorcerers find they no longer need apprentices
Article Abstract:
Simmangang Lia has developed a career as a crocodile sorcerer in the state of Sarawak in Malaysia. He is hired to catch crocodiles that have allegedly attacked humans. The offending animals are captured using simple tools and the secret chants taught by his ancestors. Simmangang does not have any intention of teaching the rituals to his children despite complaints of crocodile attacks in the area.
