Catching the 3rd Wave? - IIe or III?
Article Abstract:
The Apple III was first introduced in the United States in 1980. This was premature and many had to be recalled due to chip failures and other faults. This left a bad impression in the minds of both users and dealers. The III was reintroduced in 1981 in the United Kingdom and activity is starting to pick up. The Apple III is ideally suited for small businesses, with bigger storage and faster speed than the Apple IIe, making it useful for large accounting, spreadsheets and database applications. As the market grows so does the amount of software for the III. The Apple III is a superb machine but it must be supported and understood by the dealers and accepted by the users.
