China and Japan, two economic giants, are the biggest threats to Asia's fragile recovery
Article Abstract:
China and Japan have been the biggest obstacles to the economic recovery in Asia. The stock markets in both countries failed to cope up with the Asian rally despite interest-rate cuts. Their policies for countering deflation have not stimulated growth and have even contributed to their economic problems. Moreover, these policies present a risk of reversing the growth trend in Asia and could even lead to the recurrence of the Asian crisis.
