Article Abstract:
Although there is great demand for electricity in China, regarded as the world's second-largest power market still, foreign investors from United States and Europe are unwilling to invest in Chinese power market due to many reasons for instance Wan power plant in Fujian province failed to honor a $700 million power purchase agreement. The steps taken by China to reform its power sector have been described. China is also exploring various other ways to generate electricity.
